Okay, so I sprained my ankle on Monday. Yup, just the day before my competition starts and I sprain my freaking ankle. At first I was panicking and all, but then I had this wierd epiphany and realised that I DON'T GIVE A D@MN ABOUT SWIMMING anymore. That's right, in my mind my swimming career is as good as finished already. Now I just have to wait till next wednesday when our Interschools actually finish, then I can get on with my life. And boy, will I be happy.
Once we stop swimming, I can finally practise parkour whenever and wherever I want to, I can start going for the ninjutsu classes with my bro and Terry, and I can actually focus(yeah rightXP) on my studies more. But not to say that I will totally never ever touch water again for the rest of my life, I will still train with ACE(our school's swim club) about 2-3 times a week; if not to keep fit, then only to see him... But like I won't get fit doing parkour and ninjutsu anyways=)
And I plan to work out at the school gym after school about 3 times a week, to get more strength and core power especially for parkour. And also, when I told my friends that I would still continue swimming leisurely after school, some of them actually wanted to join me!XD How cool is that??!!! They actually wanna join me to swim after school for fun! SO AWESOME:D and what's more one of my classmates who was a ex-swimmer(he's in chinese orchestra now) wanted to take up swimming again and asked me to write a training set for him!!!^_^ I felt so honoured and embarassed but yeah I tried my best to write a proper set for him. Hope he finds it okay O.o
So yeah, my life is gonna be REALLY happy after we stop swimming. I will definitely have no regrets about leaving swimming(except for the friends we'll leave behind, but we can always keep in touch*sniff*X3) and most importantly I will be doing WHAT I MYSELF want to do. NOBODY can stop me from doing parkour, and I now know that parkour IS what I wanna learn to do(along with ninjutsu, hopefully).
So, SAYONARA swimming(wow alliterationXD) and HELLO brand new life=) I seriously can't wait. Now I just need my ankle to heal, and I'll be up and running again(literally) in no time. Eeep I wanna practise parkour so badlyX3 Frontflips, backflips, wall runs, vaults.... The world is wide open for me=D.
P.S. The week before I sprained my ankle, I was practising rolls in the school hall with Terry. We tried jumping off the stage and rolling, and it didn't hurt at all! FINALLY!!!!!!!XD Admittedly the stage was only about 1.3m high, but still=) We're making progress!!!!!!! Soon we'll be able to jump from like, 1 storey up. Haha just kidding, we still suck and we're nowhere near that level yet but soon....practise makes perfect, and once I quit swimming I'll have soo much time... I promise, I AM gonna learn how to parkour decently.
